Car Dent Repair Tips

It's sad but true that if you want to know the real value of classic cars, the best place to turn is to criminals. After all, these thieves know exactly what to steal to get more money to line their pockets and always looking to make more money.

So you could say that most stolen cars are the most popular cars in some strange way. After all, if it were popular, criminals do not want to steal. What are the most popular classic cars for criminals to steal? Glad you asked. The good folks at Hagerty Insurance put together a list of 10 classic cars most stolen. These guys make their money by insuring classic cars so that when you publish a list like this, who know what they are talking.

This is what they found in their own records:

1. 1966 to 1982 Chevrolet Corvette
2. 1964 to 1969 Ford Mustang
3. 1958 to 1967 Chevrolet Impala
4. 1968 to 1969 Chevrolet Camaro
5. 1963 to 1972 Chevrolet Nova
6. 1966 to 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle
7. 1970 to 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
8. 1955 to 1965 Cadillac DeVille
9. 1950 to 1971 Chevrolet Bus
10. 1975 to 1979 Mercedes Benz 450

As for the list, the first thing you'll notice is that criminals seem to love his Chevrolet. I just hope we are not stealing your car repair manual Chevrolet or Chevy car repair manual to go with it. This is a pretty clear sign that you need to make sure you keep your Chevy secure additional security features and a good insurance.

While some purists may argue that some of the cars are too new to be considered true classics, it remains a pretty good representation of the criminals who are the most valuable cars. Depending on who you talk to, a classic car can be anything over 25 years of age or may be something much deeper and more specific than that. However, after seeing this list, the smart consumer might be inclined to get anything but a Chevy.

It is also interesting to note that most of these cars seem to be in the back. The oldest car here was the 1950 Chevrolet pickup trucks, but most of these vehicles seem to be from the years 1960 and 1970. This may indicate that these new cars are more popular, but can only be a sign that there is more classic cars on the road again, then the very old to the criminals are able to find and easier to steal.

Whatever the case, I'm sure I speak for most fans of classic cars when I say that nothing can be worse than having someone steal his car. We hope this list makes you think about security for your classic car and how you can avoid being the vehicle model at his side at the top of the list.
